Why Choose Millboard Decking?

When it comes to designing and building decks, the right materials, design and quality installation will ensure that it’s a space to unwind and enjoy. With a long-term investment in mind, many homeowners are now looking for non-slip and weather resistant products that are not only easy to maintain but also sustainable and durable.

Millboard decking fits the bill perfectly. It’s made from a non-porous composite and is designed to be more user-friendly than its timber equivalent, with no sanding or staining required. It’s incredibly stable and resists water absorption and moss growth.

It’s also virtually non-slip, and passes independent tests with flying colours, easily surpassing British Standard Institute and Health & Safety Executive guidelines. It has a natural timber look, moulded from oak samples and hand coloured to recreate the subtle nuances of wood grain and colour.

The pliable Lastane surface has an excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions. It can be wiped clean with soapy water and specific Millboard cleaning products, and it’s resistant to stains from spilled wine or oil and doesn’t need sealing. It’s also UV stabilised to protect against fading over time.

It can be installed using Durafix screws without the need to pre-drill or countersink, and it’s covered in a rubber-like topcoat to hide any exposed hardware for a seamless finish. It also looks great with our trellis panels and is compatible with most stair profiles.
